Adirondack Aviation Archaeology

Adirondack Aviation Archaeology

The Adirondacks have witnessed over 200 plane crashes in the last 100 years. Following an introductory talk at the VIC, participants will be driven nearby to hike into a crash site with PSC VIC Director Scott van Laer to view wreckage and learn about aviation archaeology. Wear sturdy shoes, come prepared for a short hike (i.e., bring water and a snack if you need it) and enjoy a half day in the woods with a seasoned ranger who is no stranger to back country emergencies. Offered on 2 dates, 9am-1pm
