This living history event highlights the story of the people that provided the peacetime services and efforts to prepare Ticonderoga for war in 1775. Highlighted programming throughout the day brings to life the experience of soldiers in the 26th Regiment of Foot and their families who made their homes inside the Fort Ticonderoga barracks. Weapons demonstrations transport visitors to go beyond loading and firing and discuss which military traditions and tactical innovations had become standard on the eve of the Revolutionary War.
