Adirondack Aviation Archaeology

April 16 @ 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

$50

The Adirondacks have witnessed over 200 plane crashes in the last 100 years.  Following an introductory talk at the VIC, participants will be driven nearby to hike into a crash site with PSC VIC Director Scott van Laer to view wreckage and learn about aviation archaeology. Wear sturdy shoes, come prepared for a short hike (i.e., bring water and a snack if you need it), and enjoy a half day in the woods with a seasoned ranger who is no stranger to backcountry emergencies.
