Westport has lined up a collection of activities for you to celebrate Independence Weekend July 5-7:
Friday, July 5th:
1-6 pm Arts & Crafts Festival at the Essex County Fairgrounds
6-8 pm First view party at the Library
7:30 pm World Goes Round at the Depot Theatre
9 pm -1 am Damaged Goods plays classic rock at The Galley
Saturday, July 6th
9-4pm Library Book Sale on the Library Lawn
9:30 am Firecracker 5k Fun Run, Library Lawn
11 am - 1 pm, Free piece of red, white and blue pie w/purchase of any sandwich at Ernie's Market
12 pm -4 pm 12 -4 pm $1 ice cream cone at Jamb's Deli
12 - 5 pm vendors on the Heritage House Lawn
12- 4 pm strawberry shortcake on the Heritage House Lawn
12- 5 pm Basket Raffle on the Heritage House Lawn
3:30 pm Parade line up at the Essex County Fairgrounds
4 pm, PARADE down Main Street
4:30 pm Trophies awarded by Ernie LaPine on Library Lawn
5 pm Westport Volunteer Firemen's Annual Pig Roast with burgers and dogs at Lee Park
