Creative Workshops

Creative Workshops: March 16th – 18th “Bring Color Back into Your Life”
Discover how the creative arts can stimulate new ideas, can provide a framework for practical solutions and can be done in a way that can energize you and your passion! Join artist and educator Jeff Waring for the workshop as he guides you through an inspiring art integration experience. Waring states, “As a teaching artist it can be easy to get caught up in the needs of teaching, and to run out of time and stamina to create. Re-immersion into the creative process re-fires the neurons and rekindles the passion to find beauty and meaning, and serves as a humbling reminder that creating takes time. While at BluSeed, we will explore paints range from misty watercolor washes and pours, to encrusted, gritty collage, to graphic and linear compositions. This  process will be initiated with something physical from our surroundings, maybe a sprinkling of pine needles to pivot within a flow of paint, or chunks of earth captured on the edges of drying acrylics”.

By utilizing the full breadth of the arts from visual to culinary, crafts and the healing arts, this retreat will rejuvenate your creative energy! Unique activities include a “Colors of Food Tasting Dinner.” Learn the easy way to nutrition, know your foods colors, each color is a nutrient. Enjoy & learn about fresh maple sap and syrup – its Adirondack Maple time.
